Ataru Engineering was established in October 1993 and began its operation as a designer and manufacturer of factory automation systems. As the company grew it concentrated its effort on the development of laser applications including laser marking and laser welding for the electronics and semi-conductor industries.

Ataru Engineering currently undertakes collaborative research, design and development work on factory automated systems to meet the needs of its customers and provide solutions to their requirement. Our team of engineers with expertise in automation control and machine processes also provide after-sales maintenance and servicing.

Over the years we have built on the reliability and quality of our systems as well as a customer oriented after-sales services. This has enabled us to develop trusting relationship with our valuable customers which provided us the opportunity to expand our business into the region. In 2003, we established a manufacturing facility in Thailand and in 2007 a representative office in the Philippines.

Ataru Engineering has now embarked on a new phase of our business. Since 2007, we have formed a R&D Team, headed by a laser specialist from Japan, to utilize the latest technology to develop a range of new Laser Cleaning Equipments. Laser cleaning is an effective, environmental friendly, non-thermal and damage free dry cleaning process that do away with the chemicals or liquids used in conventional cleaning, that could pollute or damage the environment. Ataru Engineering is proud to play its part in contributing to the going Green effort to protect our planet Earth through the introduction of this vital technological innovation in its latest range of laser cleaning machines.

To further expand our reach we have set up Ataru Giken in Japan in late 2007. This unit will provide R&D, technological and slaes services as we push and expand our new laser cleaning business into the Japanese market.
